When a major fair is on, Frankfurt fills up: flights, hotels, taxis and the roads around Messe Frankfurt all feel the strain. For exhibitors and visitors, transport planning is the difference between a smooth show and a stressful one. Here is how to get it right.
Airport to the Messe
Messe Frankfurt sits roughly 16 km from the airport, around 18 minutes by car outside peak times, and a fixed-price Messe transfer costs from €45 (€60 in a Business Van for up to 8). Everyone leaves the hall at the same time — which is exactly when a pre-booked car earns its keep.
When a fair closes for the day, thousands of visitors hit the taxi ranks at once. A pre-booked transfer with a set pickup point and time skips that queue entirely.
