Staying near Frankfurt Airport before an early flight or after a late landing? This is every hotel at and around FRA, sorted by how you reach the terminal: on foot, by the hotel's own shuttle bus, or by S-Bahn. We checked each hotel's own website in September 2026 for its shuttle, price and hours. Shuttles change, so confirm with the hotel before you rely on one.
First: Terminal 2 is closed, Terminal 3 is open
Fraport closed Terminal 2 to passengers on 9 June 2026 for a long refurbishment, and its airlines moved to the new Terminal 3. Most hotel shuttles stop only at Terminal 1, and hotels send Terminal 3 passengers on by the SkyLine train from there, so allow extra time if you fly from Terminal 3. Hotels connected to Terminal 1
These four need no shuttle: you walk to check-in under cover.
- Frankfurt Airport Marriott Hotel: at Terminal 1, with a sheltered entrance from the lobby straight onto the SkyLine platform, and links to the regional and long-distance stations.
- Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center: in the same building as the Marriott, with the same direct entrance to the SkyLine station.
- Hilton Frankfurt Airport: in The Squaire above the long-distance station, linked to Terminal 1 by a covered pedestrian bridge.
- Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport: also in The Squaire, connected to Terminal 1 by a covered walkway.
Hotels with a free airport shuttle
Only three airport hotels run a shuttle that is free in both directions:
- Steigenberger Airport Hotel Frankfurt: free, around the clock, every 20 minutes, to Terminal 1 (arrivals level, between exits B5 and B6). For Terminal 3 the hotel sends you on by SkyLine from Terminal 1.
- Hey Lou Frankfurt Airport (Kelsterbach): free and hourly, from the hotel 05:30–10:30 and 16:00–23:15, from Terminal 1 05:50–10:50 and 16:20–23:35. The bus is not wheelchair accessible.
- Platzhirsch Living (Kelsterbach): free, 24/7, every 30 minutes, with no registration needed. The hotel still names Terminals 1 and 2; Terminal 2 has been closed to passengers since June 2026.
Free to the hotel, paid back to the airport
- NH Frankfurt Airport (Kelsterbach): every 30 minutes, free from Terminal 1 (Hall B, exit 5) 05:15–22:45, and €5 per person to the airport 05:00–22:30.
- Zleep Hotel Frankfurt Airport Kelsterbach: hourly 05:30–11:00 and 16:00–24:00, free from the airport and €5 per person back. Seats can't be reserved.
- NH Frankfurt Airport West (Raunheim): free from the airport in the morning and evening, €8 per person back; the hotel doesn't publish exact times.
Hotels with a paid shuttle
- IntercityHotel Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 (Cargo City Süd): €5 per person, children up to 12 free, twice an hour 05:00–23:30 from the hotel. It stops at Terminal 1 (Hall B, exit B5) and at Terminal 3 (hotel shuttle stops 21–26), and the hotel is about 15 minutes' walk from Terminal 3.
- ibis Frankfurt Airport (Kelsterbach): €6, about every 45 minutes, 05:15–12:00 and 15:45–22:30.
- Moxy Frankfurt Airport Kelsterbach: €6 on a scheduled service; the hotel lists no times.
- Mercure Hotel Frankfurt Airport Langen: €5 per person per ride, 06:00–22:30 on request, booked at least 48 hours ahead.
- Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt Airport (Mörfelden-Walldorf): €10, 06:00–22:45 daily from Terminal 1, exit B5. The hotel doesn't say whether that is per person or per trip.
- Coffee Fellows Hotel Frankfurt-Airport (Langen): €5 per person per trip, hourly 06:00–21:30 from Terminal 1 (Hall A). Reserve the ride to the airport at reception; from the airport, call the hotel once you have your bags.
- Leonardo Hotel Frankfurt City South (in the city forest): a paid shuttle on request, 06:00–22:00; the hotel doesn't publish the price.
Shuttle on request, Terminal 3 and park-and-fly
- Best Western Conference Airporthotel Frankfurt-Mörfelden: a partner shuttle (Black Car Taxi) to Terminal 3, daily 08:00–22:00; departure times at the front desk.
- Airport Hotel Walldorf (Mörfelden-Walldorf): an on-call shuttle 06:00–23:00, €18 each way for up to three people and €5 per extra person; email your flight details first.
- Hotel Tommasi (Mörfelden): its own shuttle to Terminal 1 (exit B4), 07:00–22:00 by reservation, fares agreed in advance.
- Parkhotel am Posthof (Hattersheim) and DIWOTEL Frankfurt Airport Dreieich: the airport run is included only in their park, sleep & fly packages.
Gateway Gardens: one S-Bahn stop from Terminal 1
The Gateway Gardens business district lies beside the terminals at the Frankfurter Kreuz. Its hotels run no shuttle of their own: take the S-Bahn (S8 or S9) one stop from Terminal 1 to Frankfurt-Gateway Gardens. Several of them still describe their location as a walk from Terminal 2, which is now closed to passengers.
- Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport: the S-Bahn stop is in front of the hotel.
- Best Western Hotel Airport Frankfurt: 1–2 minutes' walk from the Gateway Gardens station.
- Park Inn by Radisson Frankfurt Airport and MEININGER Hotel Frankfurt/Main Airport: one train stop from Terminal 1.
- Staycity Aparthotels, Frankfurt Airport, ipartment Frankfurt Airport, Serviced Apartments Frankfurt Airport, b'mine Frankfurt Airport, Moxy Frankfurt Airport, Hampton by Hilton Frankfurt Airport and Holiday Inn Frankfurt Airport: all in Gateway Gardens, none with a hotel shuttle.
The Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt Airport - Raunheim says it runs no shuttle, and neither Motel One Frankfurt-Airport in Niederrad nor the Tulip Inn Frankfurt Airport in Neu-Isenburg mentions one on its website, so ask before you rely on it.
Shuttle or private transfer?
A free shuttle is only free if it runs when you need it.
For one traveller with hand luggage, a hotel shuttle is hard to beat. It stops being practical when your flight leaves before the first bus, when you are a family with four suitcases, or when the last evening bus has already gone.
